Torpedo Rocks Shiraz 2015
Yield: 4 tonne/hectare
Soils: Black loam over limestone
Winemaking: Hand-picked, basket pressed in whole bunches, malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 18 months in10% Grande Reserve American Oak and 90% Grande Reserve French Oak used with the new oak component being 35% with 2, 3 and 4 year old oak barriques.
Minimal intervention when bottled.
Tasting Comments: The colour is a deep red with a black heart, the nose is one of plum jam, sarsaparilla, almond biscotti, dark chocolate covered cherry ripe bars and toasty vanilla oak. The dark sweet red fruits drive the wine with red currents, cherries and raspberries. This is a full bodied wine with great balance, well integrated oak tannins, lots of structure and finishing long. A very worthy successor to the 2014 vintage.
Minimum order quantitiy is six bottles (either all the same wine, or a selection to make a mixed box). A 10% discount is offered on purchases of 6 bottles, and 15% discount for 12 bottles of more.
