Yield: 4 tonne/hectare
Soils: Black loam over limestone
Winemaking: Hand-picked, basket pressed in whole bunches, malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 18 months in10% Grande Reserve American Oak and 90% Grande Reserve French Oak used with the new oak component being 35% with 2, 3 and 4 year old oak barriques.
Minimal intervention when bottled.
Tasting Comments: | The nose delivers deliciously fragrant summer-time violets, sweet cherry, stewed plums and dried cranberry. All the fruit characters follow through to the palate with hints of liquice spice, chocolate coated cherry ripe. The tannins are well balanced giving the wine a satisfying mouth feel and length.
Minimum order quantitiy is six bottles (either all the same wine, or a selection to make a mixed box). A 10% discount is offered on purchases of 6 bottles, and 15% discount for 12 bottles of more.
