54% Semillon 46% Sauvignon Blanc
Yield: Semillon – 7 tonne/hectare Sauvignon Blanc – 9 tonne/hectare
Soils: Semillon – Rich alluvial flats Sauvignon Blanc: Sandy loam over limestone, alluvial flats and quartz gravel
Winemaking: 50% of the Semillon has been fermented in barrel to create a fuller slightly creamy mouth feel and provide more depth of pallet. The balance of the Semillon and the Sauvignon Blanc were fermented in stainless steel to keep the finish clean and fresh for which this style is known for.
Tasting Comments:
Like the Sauvignon Blanc the SSB is just as fabulous with lots of limes, grapefruit, gooseberries some hints of green apple and peach. These fruits carry through to the palate with the citrus characters dominating making this a crisp and lively wine. The finish is well rounded, fresh and mouth watering. Again all you need is someone with a boat, fabulous seafood (or some chook) and friends. and
